All treatment sessions begin and end with an assessment of the client's posture and a discussion about health goals. Typically, clients lay on a massage table while gentle movement, acupressure, and energy balancing techniques are used to bring body systems back into order and alignment.
All treatments are performed through clothing. Loose, comfortable clothing is best (t-shirt & sweatpants) as thick seams may inhibit access to acupressure points.
The office feels homey. It's filled with daylight and comfortable fleece linens that smell of fresh air. With a table that is longer and wider than average (rated for 600 lbs) all body types can rest at ease.
First time appointments are always 90 minutes regardless of age. Follow-up appointments vary in length (30 to 90 minutes) based on the client's needs.

As a facilitator of wellness, Ruth supports each client on their individual journey toward healing. As partners, they follow the client's body cues to move through the session, understanding that holistic healing is something being done with a person, not to them. Openness to oneself amplifies session results as all layers of the body are explored with curiosity.
Connection to self, the environment, and to community is Horizon Health and Balance's central focus.

"I build intentional relationships with my clients because I have deep respect for the work that I am entrusted with. The changes that can occur through energy work are profound; it’s humbling to witness.
People who knew my mother, Margaret Kyle, may view my practice as a legacy. While I benefit from the foundation for wellness she laid in the Peace Country and the raw strength of her mentoring, my motivation for practicing energy work is personal and an extension of a lifestyle I choose for myself and my family.
As I've trained and studied, I've been able to heal from past trauma and the “life pain” that accumulated in my body over time. Being able to share these tools with other people, assisting them on their personal journeys to wholeness, is sacred to me. It’s a part of my 'life well lived'.
I value being an active part of my community. As a human-who-cares, I aim for the highest good and welcome partnerships with other people and organizations that likewise seek a higher vibration—sincere, intentional, and uplifting connections."
